Nissan CEO Nishikawa said in Cordoba, Argentina: “The first step is to increase the capacity of the existing plant. We still have some room for expansion. The second step is that we may add a new plant with an annual production capacity of 300,000 to 500,000. Between the cars."
In 2017, Nissan's total sales in the domestic market reached 1.52 million units, surpassing Honda's 1.44 million units and Toyota's 1.29 million units. Dongfeng Nissan's 2017 annual sales volume was 1.12 million units, up 10.6% year-on-year. The target is 1.17 million units.
Previously, Nissan announced the new five-year development plan for Dongfeng Nissan, the largest joint venture brand in China. The core goal of the plan is to enter the joint venture brand TOP3 by 2022. The specific implementation includes the introduction of more than 10 new products before 2022, accelerating the construction of channels to 2,000 sales outlets, achieving 100% coverage of the national cities, and accelerating the introduction of Nissan Zhixing Technology.
